The Muay Thai music plays constantly during a fight.  The music, which consists mostly of drums, plays at a slow pace.  The music can become very annoying if you focus on it.  But the music is not for the fighters. The music is a traditional ceremony tune, to wart away ‘evil spirits’ (as believed in ancient times).   Without the music, only fighting and cheering would be heard, which attracts blood thirty demons (as told in Thai legends).
